The Popular Imo State gubernatorial aspirant Dr Linus Okorie was on 7th April 2018, approved by Monarchs from over 16 autonomous communities in Oguta LGA, in the South Eastern Region of Nigeria. It was indeed a spectacle today as he received endorsements from the Council of Ndieze.
All the traditional leaders were present as The endorsement took place at the palace of HRH Eze Franklin Cajethan Okafor, the paramount ruler of Osse Motor Kingdom, Oguta.
It is now clear that the people are clamoring for a paradigm shift. His acceptance by majority of the people of Imolities keeps soaring daily. Firstly, it was among the teeming youths, now the elders and traditional rulers have joined in clamoring for this renowned leader.
In his response, Dr. Linus Okorie thanked all the royal fathers for finding time to host their son. He informed them that he is running for Governor. According to him, Imo State belongs to all of us. He said, “For the first time in the history of Oguta. you would have your son as Governor come 2019.”
Continuing, he said, “We are in minority when it comes to other zones. I am not coming because I am from Oguta. I am coming because I am qualified, capable and have the leadership competencies to provide sound leadership.”
He noted his journey to Douglas House is on a divine mandate and very grateful to God for this vision which is centered on the people.
Dr. Linus Okorie also commended his people for all their encouragements and assured them that they would work together for the development Oguta, Ohaji, Egbema and the whole Imo State at large.
The traditional ruler of Osse Motor, HRH Eze Franklin Cajethan Okafor, welcomed and commended Linus Okorie and his entourage for coming to the ancient city. The traditional rulers offered their royal blessings, charging all the people of Oguta to rally and support the Imo Nkeanyi Movement of Dr Linus Okorie.
